Summer of love is an epic tale from my late teens and early twenties when friends and I would travel around the country on tour with the Grateful Dead in my red VW bus. Great music, good times, and adventure has always been a part of the free spirit that lives inside my head, and this song looks back on a pretty wild time. In the early 90’s The Dead were on fire, possibly the best they ever sounded, and I’d go back to some of these moments in a heartbeat. Jerry Garcia may be gone, but the sound of his guitar forever haunts me, and whenever The Dead turn up the endless jams and riffs just soothe my soul.

From Maine to California and everywhere in between this song goes out all those free spirits out there, and all the kind folks I celebrated with in my travels. The summer of love is gone, but the memories are all right here in this song.
