Discover Savannah’s Vibrant Music Scene

From Acoustic Sets to Arena Concerts: Exploring Savannah’s Musical Offerings

Savannah, Georgia, is a city that thrives on art, culture, and music. For a small city, the richness of its creative spirit is astonishing. The music scene here is truly one-of-a-kind, offering something for everyone and providing an outlet for artists and audiences to connect in profound ways. One of the most amazing things about Savannah is that you can find live music every night of the week. From intimate acoustic sets in hotel lobbies and cozy bars to large-scale concerts in major venues, Savannah is alive with sound.

On any given evening, you can stumble upon a solo acoustic performance in one of the city’s charming hotels, bars, or restaurants. These smaller, more personal settings create a special atmosphere where the connection between the performer and the audience feels almost tangible. For those seeking a bit more energy, medium-sized venues like Victory North and District Live regularly host incredible performances that bring together locals and visitors alike. Outdoors, the Plant Riverside Riverwalk offers a beautiful backdrop for live music under the open sky. And, of course, larger venues like the Enmarket Arena bring in big-name acts that draw crowds from all over.

This year, I had the privilege of performing at the Annual Georgia On My Mind Concert at Victory North. Sharing the stage with so many talented artists from the area was an unforgettable experience. One of the highlights for me was performing Otis Redding’s Hard to Handle — a song that pays homage to one of Georgia’s greatest musical legends. I also performed Alan Jackson’s Chattahoochee, a lively, nostalgic tune that celebrates Georgia’s charm and history. Both songs hold a special place in my heart and felt like the perfect choices for the evening.

What makes Savannah’s music scene even more special is the incredible legacy of artists who have roots in Georgia. The list is truly remarkable: Johnny Mercer, The B-52's, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers, The Georgia Satellites, Lena Horne, Ray Charles, R.E.M., Sugarland, and so many others have made their mark on the music world. This rich history is a constant source of inspiration for musicians like me who call Georgia home.

Savannah’s art and culture prevail in ways that few other small cities can match. Whether it’s through the visual arts, performing arts, or music, this city celebrates creativity in all its forms. As a multidisciplinary artist, I find endless inspiration here. The sense of community, combined with Savannah’s historic charm and vibrant cultural scene, makes it a truly special place to live and create.

I’m proud to be part of this community and grateful for opportunities to give back. At the Georgia On My Mind Concert, we raised funds for Emmaus House to support those in need — a reminder of how art and music can make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
