The One is 70x84 deeply textured original abstract oil painting by artist Charles Maring. Part of an extensive collection of large scale works this painting has somewhat of an expressionist vibe featuring strong lines and bold iridescent colors that interact with lighting in a very unique way. Maring often lights these works with colored LED lights that gradually change colors, which opens the painting up to further exploration by the viewer. Onlookers have moments of self discovery in Charles’ work as each painting is storytelling both in the larger perspective, but also through vignettes that featuring strange and unusual characters which showed up in the artists imagination along the way. Three months of diligent work went into this painting, and due to its remarkable impasto textures this piece is a one of a kind that can never truly be replicated.
