It’s wonderful how hazy “Savannah Sky” is. Everything blends perfectly creating a unique and absorbing soundscape. There is a strong sense of storytelling here as well, it truly feels like a journey from start to finish.

Give You Strength” by Charles Maring is an emotive story bound to touch the hearts of all listeners. “Give You Strength” also acts as a time capsule, capturing an unforgettable era in music. In the way that we associate “Ohio” by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young or “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield with the Vietnam War Era, this song represents a significant time in both American and international history.

epic poetry.

Epopee, the 2022 album by artist Charles Maring, is available as a vinyl record, and via your favorite streaming and download apps. This storytelling LP is filled with epic tales from a life well lived that was inspired by love, family, creativity, art, travels, and places lived. Familiar yet original, and Americana in sound, this body of work takes listeners on a sonic journey sometimes leaning towards folk or classic rock, and other times drops hints of country. All the songs were written on an acoustic guitar as a starting point, and the mood of each story inspired other classic instruments from drums and percussion to pedal steel, horns, strings, pianos, organs, and dueling electric guitars to take it over the top.
